Sites I Like: DL.TV

I recently discovered a new new web site called DL.TV. It is a great site with an IP Television show distributed in a variety of different formats...all free. For those of you who remember the old ZDTV or later Tech TV will love it. It stars Patrick Norton from the old Screensavers television show and is a member of the Ziff-Davis family.

Great production values, great video quality and a hefty number of back episodes archived for download. Check it out!

Programs I Like: Gaim

So a lot of people ask me about different programs I like and use. One of these is Gaim. Gaim is a free and open-source instant messaging application that supports AOL AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, Jabber and other instant messaging services. It is cross-platform, meaning it works on a bunch of different operating systems including Windows (98-Vista) abd Linux.

Some of the features I really like are its ability to have multipal accounts of AIM or Yahoo! Messenger signed in at the same time, and the ability to label people with aliases - so you don't have to remember who's screen name is who.

You can download it from Gaim's website at http://gaim.sourceforge.net/

Going to Atlanta

Lauren, Gavin and I are heading down to Atlanta this weekend to help out my brother-in-law with an estate sale. Lauren is leaving this morning and Gavin and I will follow tomorrow night. It should be fun and a nice diversion from the usual. I will be sure to post some pics.
